Connect the Dots, which airs every fourth Sunday night at 8 p.m. Eastern on WUTC 881. FM Chattanooga and WUTC.org, is a show about the love of music, and the desire of the father-son co-host duo of Chris Dortch and Chris Dortch II to share it with their listeners. The show began as an extension of what Chris and Chris have done together for years, staying up late and playing new music for one another’s consideration.
Connect the Dots picks a theme—shows have been about songs from Elvis Presley movies, songs with handclaps, songs with cow bell, best brother acts, best piano players, guitarists, harmonica players, etc.—that unite the songs together and then offers up great music with stories about the songs and artists. The co-hosts’ affection for the music and one another comes through in the banter that precedes and follows each song. It’s sometimes funny, often lively and always informative.
